We understand that children are continually developing — physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and our Camping Program is designed to support this growth by offering meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
Camps provide opportunities for students to be challenged, connect with others, and develop in a safe, supportive environment.
Each camp within the program is thoughtfully planned to support:
· Extended learning experiences
· Personal and spiritual development
· Safe and supervised social interaction
· Hands-on application of classroom learning
Camps are an integral part of the College curriculum. As such, attendance is expected in the same way as any regular school day. If a student does not attend camp, they are marked absent from College.
Camps vary in duration depending on the student's year level:
Junior Primary - Foundation & Year 1
Do not attend overnight camps but have a number of excursions outside the school environment throughout the year.
Middle Primary - Year 2, 3 & 4
Alternate between an overnight camp and long day trip to Melbourne Zoo.
For many children these experiences are their first extended period away from home and/or family.
Senior Primary – Years 5 & 6 - 3 days 2 nights
Our Senior Primary camps alternate between Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum in Ballarat and Canberra.
Both of these camps are closely tied to their classroom learning and well as being packed with fun activities.
Secondary Camps
Junior and Middle Secondary – Year 7 – 10 - 4 day 3 nights
The Secondary Camping program offers a wide range of experiences and camps usually alternate between an Adventure camp and a City Experience camp.
These camps give students the opportunity to explore new activities and environments, develop team building skills and build stronger relationships with peers.
Senior Secondary - Year 11 & 12
Our Senior Secondary Students commence each year with an Overnight retreat.
Camping program is frequently reviewed to ensure the camps and experiences are meeting the need of our students.
Camp fees are charged to all parent accounts. To assist with budgeting, we aim to split the cost into two instalments:
Please note: Fee discounts do not apply to camp costs.
